Membership Requirements
Students who complete three history courses (12 credits) with a minimum grade point average of 3.1 in History and a GPA of 3.0 or better overall are eligible to join Phi Alpha Theta. Membership is not limited to history majors and minors. Eligible students are inducted into this national history honors society in April of each year. There is a lifetime induction fee of $60.00, which includes a membership certificate and four issues of The Historian.
Benefits
New inductees receive a pale blue and red cord to wear at graduation. Members of Phi Alpha Theta are eligible to present their research at local, regional, and national conferences and colloquia.

Phi Alpha Theta at Concordia
Concordia's chapter of Phi Alpha Theta, Alpha Eta Pi, was established on September 8, 1995.
Dr. Sonja Wentling is the faculty adviser for Concordia's chapter of Phi Alpha Theta. For the 2019-20 academic year, Shelby Reidle is serving as president and Jarret Mans is serving as Treasurer.
